…And Then There Was Me

Design and the creative process: you can never separate these two. Both takes careful planning and tremendous amount of energy. Just ask anyone who creates and they will tell you that the process of creation is reward enough. For the artist, satisfaction is not only the end product but it’s also the “high” that accompanies the very act itself.

To be part of God’s thought is an awesome thing. When days seem long and arduous or when the mirror tells me my flaws …I wonder and reflect.

My worth is in the fact that somewhere in God’s thoughts, I was formed as an Idea. That Idea took place and came into fruition. An Idea that was borne…for a purpose. It’s a good thing to remember that when self-doubts and darkness make me lose my way.

In the ordinariness of my daily life, being me is not such a bad thing after all. I was fashioned with intent and love, let me never forget that…let me always be grateful…let me be content.

Psalm 139:14The Message (MSG)

13-16 “Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
    you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
    Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
    how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
    all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
    before I’d even lived one day.”
